Dear Me,
Things have been so hard lately. So busy, so tiring. So much running around and eating out. And way too much oversleeping and not going to the gym.
It's so easy to let that slide when there's so much else to be concerned with. Especially when you're already feeling frustrated and stagnant and unsure.
What does it matter when it feels so much like you're getting nowhere? When every workout, every day is a battle of wills in your own head and you are your own cheerleader and your biggest critic. Egging yourself on while drafting a thousand different arguments to quit.
We do this because this life we live is hard. It requires strength. Not just of will and determination, but physically, as well. Strength is required not only for the life we live, but especially for the life we want to live. That one that hides in our brain and hopes. We need strength for that. So much more than we have now.
Working out is one of the only things we do that's just for us. It hurts. It's hard. It's boring. It's confusing. But this is our time. It's for us. To become stronger, faster, more able. All the things we want.
It's time to make this the priority. Carve out the time, make a plan. Stick to it.
Move forward. Not back.
You can do it.
Love,
Me
PS: This thing with the bloated feet is way old. Water, love. Water.
