Wrestles with Kitteh

Yes, I survived Sleep Study Take Two which, indeed, did involve sleeping with a CPAP the whole night. Much thanks to Dawn* for her comment, because I was able to ask for the nose/mouth mask when my nose started plugging up about three minutes in. I will admit to feeling mildly claustrophobic with the mask on, but you know what? Once I was asleep, I was asleep, and didn't care less about the mask. Of course, I was woken up repeatedly for adjustments to the mask, and, eventually, to change it to a smaller one. After that, I think she finally left me alone to sleep.

Like I said, once I was asleep, the mask didn't bother me, but I think it might definitely be a problem on nights when I have trouble staying asleep, or when I don't feel well, since I'm already cranky and agitated. But I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

My doctor should be receiving the report in about two weeks. After that, he'd have to get authorization from my insurance company to get the CPAP machine. From the handy dandy flow chart they gave me this morning, it looks like it would be at least a month before I could expect to have a machine of my very own.

How do I feel this morning?

Pooped!

There's something significantly less restful about being woken repeatedly throughout the night. Ya know?

In other news, I did get the "all clear" phone call regarding my procedure on Monday, so you can expect a full-details post soon. Everything's fine, by the way. Yay for that!

Finally, here's the song stuck in my head this morning. I'm blaming this one on Dawn, too. Heh.

PS: Is it possible to be nuzzled to death by a kitteh? My neck is so broken out because of little clawmarks from her making bread in my neck.

*If you haven't already, you really need to check out Dawn's "My Pitch" post. Awesome doesn't even begin to describe it.

Glad to help out with the sleep study and thanks for the hat tip on the post about my pitch, but Depeche Mode my fault? You wound me!

Good luck with the C-PAP!
