Introductions

My name is Cheree.

I am 35 years old, married, mother of two, employee of the State of California, vegetarian, owner of three cats and one pit bull.

And I am fat.

To be precise, I am 5'5" and I weigh approximately 285 pounds. I wear size 26 jeans. My BMI is 47.4.

That fat.

I have been a member of California Family Fitness for almost one full year and am, if anything, more fat than I started.

I feel like I have been dipping my toes in the water of "fitness" - seeing how it feels but not making any real effort to dive in and push myself. The last month has been a particularly stagnant stretch and I have had a very hard time digging myself out of this trench.

I registered for the Doggy Dash 5K on June 5th and I am woefully unprepared.

I am here for accountability.

I am here for change.

I am here to share my journey with you.

PS: Please note that this blog is currently under construction. Changes may occur randomly and without warning. Please bear with me.

I think sharing your struggles and triumphs in this sort of forum will be helpful. As someone who keeps dipping her toes into and out of the fitness myself, I can sympathize with the down times and the blahs.
