Fuzzy Legwarmers

As the weather cools, the cats start migrating into our bedroom.

Well, let me clarify. SuperFat always feels like he has a free pass to our bedroom, but Gimpy usually spends the warmer weather elsewhere.

Since it's been cooler out, Gimpy had moved into the hallway, followed by a move under our bed (feeling the bed vibrate from him whacking his head on the metal was certainly interesting, by the way), and, finally, behind our door.

Over the weekend, I finally got tired of his antics and tossed him up on the bed, and he's been happily snuggling in his little "nest" ever since.

Last night, he didn't feel like going over to that side of the bed, and stayed between our legs. He was joined by SuperFat, who, as usual, feels most secure when he's physically attached to my person.

I went to sleep last night immobilized by snuggling furry feline leg warmers.

I've missed that feeling.

In other cat news, it seems we will soon be taking possession of a third cat.

The Monkey's dad is a total sucker, and told MonekyDo that she could keep one of the kittens that was born earlier this year. Apparently he didn't get the memo that she gets told no a lot and it hasn't harmed her none.

Their dad is no longer in a position to be able to care for said kitten and so, to avoid breaking our Monkey's heart further, we said we'd take the kitten in.

We'd already been talking about getting her something living for Christmas. She's in charge of feeding and watering the animals, and she does a very good job with it. While we hadn't really discussed what, exactly, we'd be getting her, there'd been some talk of taking in SweetPea's brother's bearded dragon. After all, we still have all the stuff from when we had Marvin, so we wouldn't have to go out and buy a bunch of new stuff.

But, you know. Cat, lizard. Tomayto, tomahto.
