A Clarification

Someone mentioned something that made me aware that I needed to clarify the previous Pet Peeve.

It's not exactly that the parents want their kids to be their friends. It's that the parents are trying so hard for their kids to like them that they're afraid to do anything that might make the child not like them, no matter how temporary.

And, you know, I had the differentiation all in my head, but that was a few days ago, and, you know what? I'm really tired, and my nerves are about shot.

I will say that if I've pissed you off, you have a different opinion, or you agree, please post a comment and let me know. Everyone parents differently. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
